

Here are the instructions I received from Steam to fix this problem.

Assistance in resolving this would be much appreciated, as I am currently unable to run any games. I note that no Steam folder appears in the Library/Applications Support folder on my harddrive (as some article suggest it should). The Stream app appears to successfully download, but nothing I have done has induced it to launch/run. I've tried downloading the Steam app using different browsers (Chrome with DuckDuckGo extension and Safari). I've reviewed online articles providing purported solutions (see, e.g.,, , etc.), and none of the steps they suggest have remedied the issue. Restarting my Mac, shutting down and starting Mac again, completely eliminating every vestige of the prior Steam app download and reinstalling the app at least six times (with and without restarting Mac), and renaming the Steam app have not solved the problem.

I am unable to get the Steam app to launch on my MacBook Pro running Monterey OS.
